About Kim’s K9’s Dog Training
Kim’s K9s is built on decades of hands-on experience with dogs across companionship, sport, and newly breeding.
I have been actively involved in showing dogs since 2004 in both New Zealand and Australia, with every dog I have owned achieving champion status. My background spans conformation, obedience, working disciplines, and structured performance training — giving me a well-rounded, practical understanding of how dogs learn, develop, and thrive in real homes.
I hold a nationally recognised Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training (22214VIC) and am an Earthdog Judge, as well as an active competitor. My approach is grounded in clarity, structure, and building strong foundations rather than quick fixes.
One of my proudest achievements is gaining a Register of Merit on one of my Dobermann — a rare distinction recognising excellence across conformation, obedience, and temperament testing. Achieving all three titles in a single dog is uncommon and reflects sound breeding, training, and temperament.
My first bred English Toy Terrier litter went on, within its first year, to win Puppy of the Year (2024/2025) and gain a working title, reinforcing my focus on producing and developing dogs that are not only successful in the ring, but capable, stable, and functional.
Today, Kim’s K9s specialises in one-on-one puppy training and early foundations, helping owners set clear expectations, household structure, and lifelong skills from the very beginning. I work exclusively with private clients, offering sessions either in your home (within approximately a 50 minute radius) or at my location, depending on your goals and your dog’s needs.
I intentionally focus on proactive training and early education, and do not take on aggression, reactivity, or separation-related cases. This allows me to provide thoughtful, dedicated support to families who want to do things right from the start.
